About Me

My interests and experience are as unique as my name!

Born and raised in Denver Colorado, I made my first pinhole camera in elementary school - and I have loved photography ever since.

Exploring the world is my other passion project. I was fortunate to begin international travel with my family as a child, exploring Tunisia, Spain and Greece. That set the spark. I started learning French in 7th grade, traveling to France at the end of the school year. The language just clicked for me, igniting a true Francophile spirit within. As a young adult, I lived in Belgium for a year and studied in Pau, France, during college.

My fluency in French created an opening into international event production; French has long been a primary language for such premier sporting events as the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup.  I began working with men’s international cycling races, then moved on to the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and then three whirlwind years living in Switzerland - but commuting weekly to France working with the FIFA World Cup. Still, Denver had my heart and I returned home to my roots.

I have continued to work in event production, exploring many global communities along the way - camera always in tow. I fed this passion through photography coursework at the Art Institute of Denver and workshops in California, Santa Fe, and recently in India with Photographers Without Borders.

Through my camera’s lens, I strive to showcase vibrant cultures, simple daily life, stunning scenery and portraits, especially of children. Newborn photography, in particular, is the rewarding experience of preserving the precious images of a little one’s first few weeks of life.

My life has been filled with variety.  Some days, I set out to produce a fireworks show for hundreds of thousands of people and some days I get to spend them wrapping a little one in soft fabric and creating a keepsake image - and some days I just take my dog for a really long walk.
